About AIPredictions.com

Predictions are easy. Track records are harder.

AI Predictions is an editorial research site built to document what influential people actually predicted about artificial intelligence, when they said it, and how those claims aged.

What this site does

AI Predictions compares dated forecasts, technical theses and commercial foresight using primary sources wherever possible. We distinguish source-derived facts from our own evaluation and flag claims that rely primarily on first-party evidence.

What this site does not do

We do not treat fame as forecasting accuracy. We do not convert vague statements into precise predictions after the fact. We do not mark unresolved future dates as successes. And we do not assume that a person who was right in one forecasting domain will be right in every other domain.

Research structure

The site is designed as a growing series of long-form research articles. Each article is published as static server-rendered HTML, supported by machine-readable data, an LLM-readable text version and direct links to primary sources.

Editorial transparency

Rankings are editorial assessments. They are not scientific consensus rankings. The methodology is public, the evidence is linked, and articles are updated when predictions resolve or stronger sources become available.
